Nitehawk-36 Rev. C Update

After months of development and testing, we are ready to introduce the new version of Nitehawk-36 Rev C. This update addresses the connectivity issues of the initial release and also introduces a number of improvements and features to the toolboard.

What’s New in Rev. C?

  • Different Board Shape

The board outline has been changed. RESET and BOOT MODE buttons are now positioned for easier access. The right-angle stepper port connector simplifies cable management and makes installation more convenient. The USB port has been repositioned to the top right. All other connectors remain in their original locations for compatibility with existing setups.

  • Additional Always-On Fan Port

To address cooling needs, an optional always-on fan port (24V) has been added. Users can solder this port themselves to enable active cooling, ensuring better thermal management for the toolboard in demanding environments.

  • Better Thermal Management

Rev C’s larger board size, optimized component layout, and the inclusion of an additional heatsink work together to reduce operating temperatures. This results in more stable operation and prolonged durability under heavy use.

  • Updated USB Adapter Board

Connection stability has been a primary focus of this update. The revised circuitry in the USB adapter board improves stability across more wiring setups. The shape of the adapter board remains the same.

We really appreciate your patience and support as we’ve worked through these updates. Stay tuned for more developments in the near future!

Rev C+

The only difference between our Rev C and Rev C+ boards is the addition of mounting “ears” on the Rev C+ version. These ears provide an extra installation point, making the board more secure and stable when mounted. It’s a small change, but it adds extra firmness for setups that need a more solid hold.
